My Priorities

  • Support Law Enforcement & Increase Public Safety:

Understanding the critical role of law enforcement and community security, I am dedicated to tackling the county's issues concerning the jail, crime, homelessness, drug abuse, and mental health. My #1 priority is to reduce crime and homelessness. We need to take swift action by implementing successful strategies from other regions, tackling mental health and addiction issues, and embracing an approach that combines responsibility, accountability and empathy. My commitment is to create a safe environment for all residents.

  • Efficiently Run Shasta County like a Business:

My commitment to responsible and transparent budget management is unwavering. We must prioritize fiscal accountability to ensure taxpayer dollars are utilized efficiently and effectively. Through transparent financial practices, we aim to build trust with the community by keeping them informed about budget allocations and expenditures. This dedication to sound financial stewardship empowers us to make informed decisions that will benefit the county and its residents. We must advocate for fiscal responsibility through regular department meetings and audits to monitor expenditures and a strategic approach to budget allocation, particularly in critical departments like Health & Human Services. Our County Government needs to be effective and accountable, when elected it will be one of my priorities to help ensure transparent and effective governance of the County budget, finances & operations.

  • Limit Government Overreach & Protect Your Rights:

I am steadfast in my commitment to limit government overreach and protect your God given rights. I believe in the importance of maintaining a delicate balance between governmental authority and individual liberties. My approach involves advocating for policies that curtail unnecessary intrusion into citizens' lives, ensuring that government functions as a servant, not a master. I am dedicated to safeguarding your rights to privacy, freedom of expression, and due process. By promoting transparency, accountability, and a vigilant check on governmental power, I aim to create an environment where your rights are not just acknowledged but vigorously defended. Your empowerment and the preservation of constitutional principles are at the forefront of my mission.

  • Improve Board Collaboration & Communication:

My goal is to leverage my extensive experience in business and project management to run county operations efficiently, emphasizing accountability, effective communication, and the importance of supporting local enterprises to foster economic development. Let's shift our focus from arguing to working together to find solutions. By cultivating a culture of respect and collaboration, we can harness the collective strength of the Board to address challenges and achieve our goals effectively. I believe in maintaining open lines of communication with constituents through regular interactions like town halls, ensuring that your voice is heard and represented. Your voice matters!

  • Cultivating a Positive County Employee Culture:

It is imperative that we enhance the work environment and uplift the spirits and productivity of our county operations. Creating a culture of respect and collaboration with a steadfast emphasis on attracting, motivating, and retaining skilled staff will help our county operations be more effective and responsive with public services.

  • Connected, Thriving Community & Businesses:

Understanding the significance of local enterprises, I aim to foster a business-friendly atmosphere that supports growth while preserving the unique character of our county. I advocate for responsible development that aligns with the community’s desires, ensuring growth that benefits rather than disrupts our community.

  • Supporter of Term Limits:

My stance on term limits reflects my belief in dynamic, fresh leadership that continually brings new perspectives to county governance, and to prevent career politicians.

My goal is to increase public safety, reduce homelessness, streamline accessibility to mental health and substance abuse services, all while ensuring our County is being run efficiently like a business. I am committed to limiting Government overreach, protecting your rights, and improving board collaboration through professional, common-sense, and solutions-oriented leadership.
